Rankle is a free daily puzzle. You do not need an account to play.
We keep as little as we can, and never sell or share it.
On your device
- Your game progress, stats, streak, settings and a random player ID are kept in
your browser's local storage. Clearing site data removes them.
- A small cookie (cj_dailies, three days) remembers which of our daily games you
have played today, so each game can show a tick next to the others.
Sent to our server
- Your daily result. When you finish today's puzzle, the game sends your
random player ID, the puzzle number and date, and your score out of 4, the coloured result pattern and your time, for the leaderboard.
- Display name. Only if you choose one. It is shown on the leaderboard.
- Where you came from. We store the website that sent you (just the
site name, e.g. listdle.com, or a campaign tag in the link), to see which sites send
players. It is saved with each result and, once, as the site that first sent you. No
full links, no IP address. Nothing is saved on your device for this.
- Email sign-in. If you choose to sign in, your email address is
stored so your progress follows you to other devices and to our other games. The
sign-in email is sent through Brevo. Skip it and no email is ever collected.
- Reminders. If you turn on daily reminders, your browser's push
address and its browser name and version are stored so the reminder can be sent.
It is deleted when your browser tells us the subscription has ended.
Your country is read from the connection only to show a flag in our private
notification that a puzzle was played. It is not stored.
Analytics
Google Analytics runs only if you press Accept on the cookie banner. It counts visits
with IP addresses masked. Decline and it never loads.
Removing your data
Email [email protected] with your
display name or sign-in email and we will delete your results and details.
